Election schedule for Gujarat Media Club’s managing commitee/governing council

March 1, 2009 As per bye-laws of Gujarat Media Club we are announcing the election schedule for the year 2009-10. The election will be held for the nine elected posts of Managing Committee/Governing Council namely: 1. President (1 post) 2. Senior Vice-President (1post) 3. Vice-Presidents (2 posts) 4. Secretary-General (1 post) 5. Secretary Organisation (1 post) 6. Joint Secretaries (2 posts) 7. Treasurer (1 post) For, all these above mentioned posts all the Regular/ Regular Life Members will be eligible for voting who became members of the Gujarat Media Club on or before March 1, 2009. We are attaching the list of eligible voting members against whom no dues are pending as on March 1, 2009. Members whose names are not in the list may pay up such arrears on or before 10th March 2009, so as to get their names included in the list, to become eligible to vote. On 12th March 2009 we will place a supplementary list of members on board who have paid their subscription and other dues to the club for the current year 2008-09. Voting: March 16, 2009 from 9 am to 4 pm at Gujarat Media Club, Bungalow No-234, Sector-9, Opp Inquiry Office, Gandhinagar-9 Result Announcement: March 16, 2009 by 6 pm. NOMINATION ELIGIBILITY Each nomination of those desirous of contesting the elections shall be duly proposed and seconded by regular/Regular Life Members and signed by the candidate, all three of them being eligible to vote, provided further that only such persons as have been members for a continous period of one year on the date of election, shall have the right to stand as a candidate or to propose or second nomination.
